Hello, and welcome to the London Telecare website.

If this is your first visit, you may be wondering what Telecare is all about, and how it can help you, or maybe someone you care for, continue to live independently at home. All visitors to this website are very important to us. Our mission is to promote awareness of Telecare and Telehealth products and services across the UK.

London Telecare is a membership based organisation representing Telecare and Telehealth Services operated by London's boroughs, and many others across the UK. Our Support Members include most of the companies which produce the sensors that monitor your safety and well-being at home. We are all dedicated to raising awareness of what telecare and telehealth services are available. We do this through advertising and promotion across London and the Home Counties, a combination of posters, leaflets and exhibition materials.

In the following web pages, we show examples of life situations that you might recognise for yourself, a relative, neighbour or friend. For further information about your local Telecare service, call our Helpdesk on 0800 085 6323. Friendly and experienced staff will put you in touch with your nearest Telecare Centre, usually run by your local council.

In 2012, many people are enjoying longer and healthier lives in this country, but even those with long term conditions, given the choice, would prefer to remain living at home, leading a safe, secure and independent life.
